Matthew D. Levy, Esq.

Matthew D. Levy is a partner with Dyson and Levy. Matt was born in New York and raised in New Jersey. He moved to South Florida in 1991 and now lives in Delray Beach with his wife, Dana, his two sons, Steven and Connor, and his dogs Shelby and Homer.

Matt’s passion, strong work ethic, competitive spirit, and motivation to help people in a time of need has helped thousands of injured accident victims over the last twenty years. He typically handles the firm’s catastrophic injury, wrongful death, complex liability, civil rights violations, and defective product cases.

Matt has litigated more than 2,000 negligence cases involving personal injury and wrongful death. He is well known and respected by defense attorneys for being tough, yet also fair and diplomatic. The defense attorneys know that Matt is meticulously prepared, competitive, and detail-oriented. With over 50 jury trials under his belt, the Defense attorneys know that Matt is not afraid of the Courtroom. Matt has litigated several types of cases over the years that have resolved for over $1 million.

Matt is considered a specialist in civil trial law since 2003 when he became a Board-Certified Civil Trial Lawyer by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education. In 2008, 2013, and 2018. he was re-certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in civil trial law.

Achievements & Honors

In 2000, at the age of 30, Matt became a Partner. He achieved Board Certification at the age of 33, and in 2005, he became a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Matt was one of the first members of his graduating law class to hold either of these distinctions. Matt has been selected to the Florida Super Lawyers every single year since 2014 by his peers, a distinction bestowed on just a small handful of attorneys in the state.

In 2015, the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) (a national organization for both plaintiff and defense trial attorneys) voted Matt in as a member.

Matt Levy is also AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, the highest possible preeminent rating.

In 2018, Matt won the prestigious Michael K. Bailey TLEL award from the Florida Justice Association, “in recognition of his leadership and embodiment of the right stuff.”
